The cast of Ocean’s Eight continues to get more and more impressive, with the latest addition being Emmy nominated actress Sarah Paulson. She’s been receiving some serious awards attention after playing Marcia Clark in The People Vs OJ Simpson, but has also delivered stellar performances in the likes of 12 Years A Slave and American Horror Story.

Deadline hasn’t shared any specifics on who the actress will be playing in Ocean’s Eight, but Paulson will presumably join the team which so far includes Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling and Awkwafina.

Ocean’s Eleven director Steven Soderbergh is producing the movie which will be directed by The Hunger Games helmer Gary Ross. Plot details are also being kept under wraps, but it was recently revealed that it will actually be a continuation of the original trilogy rather than a female led reboot along the lines of Ghostbusters.

While there’s been some inevitable backlash about the decision to ditch the original cast for this new take on the property, the potential for Ocean’s Eight to be a huge hit is definitely there, especially with a cast as impressive and exciting as this. An official announcement has yet to be made, but with the main team seemingly assembled, expect that to follow soon enough.
