Known as Hollywood Hills Burglar Bunch, just The Burglar Bunch or more famously The Bling Ring, director Sofia Coppola’s latest adapts the plundering exploits of the group of teenagers who terrorized the celebrity strip, making off with more than $3 million before being caught.

Courtesy of some promo material unveiled at Cannes (which just wrapped) and EW who broke the news, we have the first official image for the teeny-bopper crime tale which showcases our masterminds in full D&G glory.

The Bling Ring is also written by Coppola and stars “Harry Potter’sEmma Watson along with relative unknowns Israel Broussard (Flipped), Taissa Farmiga (American Horror Story) and first-timers Katie Chang and Georgia Rock. Leslie Mann will also appear as the mother of Watson’s character and Paris Hilton and Kirsten Dunst will have cameo roles.

The true-to-life premise is very intriguing, let’s just hope that this doesn’t turn into some kind of Oceans 11 for the “Twilight” crowd. With Coppola at the helm however, we are far more likely to get something substantial and perhaps even great. It will also test Watson’s star potential in a leading role.

The Bling Ring will sparkle in theaters some time next year.
