If that headline seems familiar, it’s because you’ve probably read some variation of it before… on several different occasions. Ever since it was announced that Scoot McNairy (Argo) would be joining the cast of Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, fans have been trying to figure out who he might be playing, and various sites have claimed to know for certain.

Despite initial speculation that he might actually be The Flash because of those set snaps of the actor wearing green-screen leg covers (it turned out his character was simply supposed to be an amputee), it was widely believed that he was in fact an incarnation of Jimmy Olsen. Well, now Latino Review refute that, and adds a very interesting new tidbit for us to mull over.

[He’s] brought in to testify against Superman to the U.S. Senate, but also becomes a victim of Lex Luthor’s campaign against the Man of Steel. One of Luthor’s schemes in the movie involves turning McNairy’s character into a human bomb of sorts, radicalizing him, in an attempt to get him close to Superman and to hurt him.

That sounds plausible, but we’ve had so many rumors relating to this over the months that it’s advised to keep that pinch of sat handy until we find out for certain, which likely won’t be until Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice opens on March 25, 2016.

Until then, however, tell us, who do you think Scoot is playing in the film?
