We’re really starting to get a sense of where Gwyneth Paltrow‘s priorities lie.
The Academy Award-winning actress, despite appearing several times alongside Tony Stark in the MCU, seems to place film’s most successful franchise on the back-burner whenever she’s involved. This isn’t to criticize her performances, but rather her memories of the events, or lack thereof.
A couple weeks ago, a segment of The Chef Show went viral online that featured Paltrow finding out she’d been in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. While this is more understandable, given Marvel’s reputation for providing as little detail as possible to its actors and also the fact that Pepper Potts was only in the film for a couple of minutes, another video surfaced last month that showed her asking Chris Pratt who Sebastian Stan was at the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War.
Well, as it turns out, this wasn’t the first time that kind of conversation’s taken place. The man behind the Winter Soldier recently posted on Instagram a picture of him alongside Paltrow at the Valentino Fall 2019 Couture Collection in Paris. But it was the caption that caught a lot of fans’ attention.
“Also glad I got to reintroduce myself to @gwynethpaltrow for the third time,” Stan said. “We are in the same film…”
While Paltrow’s confusion’s, again, more understandable during Infinity War, having been in Avengers: Endgame together – both as attendees of Tony Stark’s funeral, as well as participants in the film’s climatic battle – it’s kind of ridiculous that she doesn’t at least know of her co-star yet.
In that spirit, it looks like Gwyneth Paltrow does forget a face. Even if that face is Sebastian Stan.
