‘Shang-Chi 2’ having Kang crossovers aplenty leaves Marvel fans demanding it fix ‘Quantumania’s greatest crime

You have your orders, Marvel.

Kang the Conqueror having such a leading role in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania promises that the temporal tyrant won’t just be sitting on his… Time Chair for the remainder of the Multiverse Saga, like Thanos did before him. He’s likely to feature as a key presence in multiple projects in the run-up to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, including the upcoming second season of Loki. And, according to the latest chatter, Shang-Chi 2.

In addition to Eternals 2 finally getting the greenlight over at the House of Ideas, Marvel has likewise allegedly moved a Shang-Chi sequel into active development as well. What’s more, a new rumor points to Jonathan Majors returning opposite Simu Liu for this film, as insider Film Odyssey is telling us that various variants of Kang will appear in Shang-Chi 2.

For starters, this has fans excited as it seems to confirm an old rumor about the sequel from last summer, when it appeared to leak out that Marvel was thinking of calling it Shang-Chi and the Wreckage of Time.

There is some confusion over the exact nature of this leak, but Kang showing up certainly adds fuel to the idea, as his presence would naturally give the movie a quantum edge.

On the other hand, more pessimistic fans are worried that having Kang show up so many times before he faces the Avengers is going to do some serious damage to his batting average.

With no offense to Shawn, then, many are hoping that Kang actually manages to best the hero this time around so as to undo Quantumania‘s biggest mistake.

Whatever happens, however, let’s hope Shang-Chi gets his comics-accurate duplication powers so we can have one epic showdown.

While we wait for more news on its follow-up, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is streaming on Disney Plus.
