‘She’s coming in hot and late’: Meghann Fahy addresses rumors of her playing the MCU’s Sue Storm

Based on what I saw in 'The White Lotus,' she would make a stellar Sue Storm.

If I had a dollar for every time the internet came up with a fresh name for Marvel’s Fantastic Four casting, I would be richer than Elon Musk right now. It doesn’t help when half of them remain suspended in a sea of doubt while the other half gets addressed only to add another wave of frustration. Thankfully, the White Lotus star Meghann Fahy has chosen to clarify rumors of her future as Sue Storm with a positive update.

With Marvel and DCU snagging upcoming promising actors left and right along with reports of the ones that haven’t been officially picked rumored to be playing so-and-so, it is deemed almost customary now for an actor to — if not play — at least audition for the role of a superhero. So, in his unique way of digging for confirmed news on all the speculation about Fahy being destined to play MCU’s Sue Storm, Josh Horowitz questioned Fahy how many times she has auditioned for the role of a superhero when she appeared on Happy Sad Confused

Her answer? “I don’t think I have.”

Her vague answer was met with the suggestion that she should probably put out her name as a serious contender for the role of Sue Storm, confirming the rumors that she is indeed up for the role. While again, she didn’t outwardly address the authenticity of the reports, she did agree enthusiastically to the idea of being one of the contenders for a role in Fantastic Four.

“She is coming in hot and late, with three ends!”

While Marvel actors probably all follow the memo of faking it till their involvement is officially confirmed, these days there are so many rumors and so many voices commenting on the same, bothering to dissect their micro-expression to suss out the truth has majorly lost its charm. But for what it’s worth, fans of Fahy can find solace in the fact that if Marvel is indeed considering her as Sue Storm, the studio has her express confirmation and enthusiasm for the role in place already.
