Get An Early Peek At Corellia As It Appears In Solo: A Star Wars Story
Much like Chewbacca, Lando and that famous blaster, Corellia is very much ingrained in the Han Solo legend, so it’s only fitting that the industrial planet features quite prominently in Lucasfilm and Ron Howard’s forthcoming anthology pic.
And sure enough, thanks to new intel uncovered by Empire Magazine, we now have our first official look at Corellia as it appears in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
What’s particularly intriguing about this reveal is that until today, Corellia was never made visible within the Star Wars movie franchise, and was only referenced in passing. However, as noted by Reddit, it appears as though this stock image is actually lifted from a Star Wars: The Old Republic Wikipedia page, while the accompanying passage of text alludes to a truckload of non-canonical material that has since been housed under the Star Wars Legends banner.
That tells us that the Corellia of Solo: A Star Wars Story may be slightly different to the one uncovered by Empire, but there’s still one or two shreds of information about Han’s roots. Check it out for yourself in the gallery below, along with some new photos that surfaced a few hours ago.
Also of note, this Empire scoop includes a nod to Garris Shrike, the infamous scoundrel who takes Han under his wing and molds him into the cocksure pilot we know and love.
Early on in development, it looked certain that Solo: A Star Wars Story had earmarked said role for Woody Harrelson, though it’s since been confirmed that the Oscar-nominee will play the part of Tobias Beckett, an infamous scoundrel who takes Han under his wi–wait a second…
Perhaps those two figures are one and the same, after all? We’ll find out once Solo makes a beeline for theaters on May 25th.
