HD Action Shots For Solo: A Star Wars Story Bring Us Closer To Lucasfilm’s Rogues

There's a new Star Wars movie releasing this month, and to prove it, Disney and Lucasfilm have dropped a gallery of awesome HD stills for Solo: A Star Wars Story.

You’ve heard of Rogue One, but what about the rogue one?

We are, of course, referring to Han Solo, the loveable rogue of Lucasfilm’s original Star Wars trilogy and The Force Awakens. He’s arguably one of the most beloved characters in the entire galaxy, one who was originally brought to life by the inimitable Harrison Ford.

Mind you, the film legend has since passed on the blaster torch to Alden Ehrenreich ahead of this month’s Solo: A Star Wars Story. It’s the second Anthology film to emerge from Disney and Lucasfilm, though it’s shaping up to be decidedly different from Rogue One, whose plot primarily focused on an admittedly forgettable line from the opening crawl of A New Hope all those years ago.

Take nothing away from Gareth Edwards’ (and Tony Gilroy’s) achievement on Rogue One, it’s just that Solo is more of a Western-tinged character drama featuring some of the most formidable rogues in the universe, as evidenced by this newly-unveiled gallery of action shots from the Mouse House.

From Alden Ehrenreich’s titular smuggler to the cool-as-ice Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover), this is another stellar preview of Solo. And Qi’ra? Well, she’s the Star Wars equivalent of a femme fatale, and Emilia Clarke simply can’t wait until viewers become acquainted with her character, who is still a little rough around the edges despite her regal guise.

She has a couple of guises, but essentially she is just fighting to stay alive. If you’ve got a really glamorous lady in a really sordid environment, you kind of know the glamor is hiding a few rough roads.

Smuggler. Scoundrel. Solo. Look for Ron Howard’s Anthology pic to come out of light speed and into theaters on May 25th, when it’ll purportedly score a record-breaking Memorial Day weekend in the States.
