Gyllenhaal was in attendance at Brazil’s Comic Con Experience over the weekend, where the actor reportedly heaped praise on Tom Holland for his work as the famed wall-crawler:

“Tom Holland is the best Spider-Man. There’s no one more professional than him.”

It’s funny to see a word like “professional” applied to an actor known for accidentally dropping Marvel spoilers, but after filming scenes with the star across Europe, you have to imagine that Gyllenhaal knows what he’s talking about.

It isn’t just offscreen that the Nightcrawler lead has Holland’s back, either, with the pair making the surprising revelation at CCXP that Mysterio and Peter Parker will be working together in Far From Home to fight Elementals. Holland himself described the duo as “brothers in arms,” though seeing how the two of them usually aren’t on the friendliest of terms in the comic books, you can expect this relationship to sour sooner or later.

In any case, though a lot of Marvel fans weren’t happy that we didn’t get to see the movie’s first trailer over the weekend, attendees at CCXP had some promising things to report from the footage they saw, which allegedly showed Peter back with his old classmates and meeting a newly un-dusted Nick Fury, who does what he does best and puts a team together. Hopefully the rest of us won’t have to wait too long before a teaser emerges online, but either way, all will be revealed when Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters on July 5th, 2019.
