It seems like every day we get a new Spider-Man: Homecoming casting announcement (we actually got two yesterday), and sure enough, this evening THR has brought us another. According to the trade, Better Call Saul alum Michael Mando – who gamers will also recognize as Vaas from Far Cry 3 – has joined the already massive cast of Marvel and Sony’s reboot.

Following suit with most of the other recent casting reports for the flick, not so much as a single hint is given as to the identity of the character he’ll be playing. There was a time when the trades would usually manage to find out those kind of details prior to posting, but it looks like the studios are succeeding in keeping a tighter lid on things these days.

So, whether Mando turns out to be an established Marvel character or not remains to be seen, but whoever he’s playing he’s in some great company, with the likes of Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, Zendaya, Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton, Donald Glover, Kenneth Choi, Martin Starr and Logan Marshall-Green all set to star.

Jon Watts directs Spider-Man: Homecoming, which is set to open in theatres on July 7, 2017.
