Just when you thought the world couldn’t love Tom Holland any more, the Spider-Man actor would like you to hold his beer. Yes, he’s old enough to drink. It’s not his charm or sense of humor that’s winning us over this time, though, as his fans are doing the wooing for him.

Droves of the actor’s fans have been showing their support for Tom after Sony and Disney’s very public disagreement. Yes, it’s hard to believe, but Spider-Man is no longer part of the MCU after the two studios couldn’t reach an agreement on how greedy each should be. Of course, those who love seeing Peter Parker team up with the Avengers, which should be everyone, can still hold out hope that a deal may be reached, but for now, the Spider-verse and Marvel’s cinematic universe are no longer the same.

Holland’s initial reaction to the news had fans a bit…confused, shall we say? I mean, he bought a car and posted a pic of him in it on his Instagram, for Pete’s sake. He did finally break the silence at the D23 expo, however, invoking his inner Tony Stark and saying:

“It’s been a crazy week, but I want you to know I am grateful from the bottom of my heart and I love you 3,000.”

By crazy week, of course, he surely meant the chaos from the failed studio deal. And the moment he said the words “grateful” and “love,” support from fans started pouring in.

Of course, the actor has made it clear that he’s still our Spider-Man, and will continue to be in the near future. A third installment in the series is already in the works, too, as Sony has hired writers to start on a script. But still, that doesn’t make this hurt any less.

Regardless, be sure to drop Tom a line on Twitter or Instagram showing that we’ve all got his back, and love him right back 3,000 more.
