If the fine film that was Homecoming didn’t provide enough incentive to see Spider-Man: Far From Home in cinemas, then perhaps knowing it’ll begin charting the course for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s future will. After all, it’s opening up the concept of the multiverse, something that’d previously been hinted at in Doctor Strange.

Continuing on the subject of fleshing out this post-Endgame world, many True Believers have been contemplating the possibility of Tony Stark’s involvement. Though he made the ultimate sacrifice to stop Thanos and his invading forces, the presence of Peter Parker’s mentor will still loom large.

Already, Iron Man devotees far and wide have petitioned for his resurrection in the MCU. Though I don’t see that happening, the door remains open for Robert Downey Jr. to return in other ways. And according to verified Reddit leaker TheMarvelScoopMaster, here’s how Shellhead may appear in Far From Home:

“I have heard he is the AI when Peter puts on glasses, but cannot confirm [yet].”

Having Tony be the Jor-El to Peter’s Kal-El would certainly make sense in this scenario. Since Stark’s created various other artificial intelligence in the past, it’s not crazy to assume he could’ve whipped up one bearing his own likeness. Plus, it’d pay tribute to when he did something similar in the comics in recent years, only we don’t have Ironheart running with the torch – yet.

On the other hand, it could be argued that this cheapens Tony’s death in Endgame. Given how beautiful his sendoff was, bringing him back in any capacity in the very next film runs the risk of having moviegoers not taking his demise very seriously.

Either way, treat this one as a rumor for now, but all will be revealed pretty soon as Spider-Man: Far From Home arrives in theaters on July 2nd.
