Offering up something completely different from what the last comic book movie trailer we saw (Justice League) gave us, the footage here once again paints a more light-hearted picture, teasing a movie that’ll probably provide just as many laughs as it does big action set pieces – which is fine by us. That’s not to say it’ll be all fun and games, as Michael Keaton’s Vulture looks truly menacing and dark, but this preview definitely has a classic Spidey feel to it.

The interactions between Tom Holland and Robert Downey Jr. are once again the highlight, while we also get some more time to acquaint ourselves with the aforementioned Vulture and a couple of the supporting players. Not only that, but there’s a lot more of Iron Man in this newest trailer and they even drop a quick Captain America cameo in here as well.

Unfortunately, plot details are still held back for the most part, which isn’t terribly surprising, but there’s enough here to get us excited for Holland’s second outing as the titular web-slinger. Speaking of which, the actor really does seem like he could be the best Spider-Man yet. That’s a sentiment Anthony Mackie recently echoed and given everything we’ve seen so far from Jon Watts’ reboot, it’s something that might just be true. We’ll reserve final judgement for when the film releases, of course, but as of now, he definitely stands a shot at being the best version of the iconic hero to date.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be with us on July 7th. A sequel has already been earmarked for 2019 and though that may seem like an awful long way away, we can at least look forward to Tom Holland appearing in future Avengers films.
