Stan Lee’s Ant-Man And The Wasp Cameo Revealed

Given that it's a Marvel movie, Stan Lee of course has a cameo in Ant-Man and the Wasp and this one is sure to put a smile on your face.

Which Marvel hero has appeared in more films than any of the Avengers or the X-Men? That’s right, it’s the one and only Stan Lee, who’s been a fixture of every Marvel production for the past two decades. Be it made by Disney, Fox or Sony, Lee’s always welcome to appear for a cameo in the latest film based on the comics franchise that he helped build, and each and every time he appears it’s a real treat.

Once known primarily as the founding father of Spider-Man, Hulk, Doctor Strange, the Fantastic Four and so many other great Marvel characters, Lee’s now considered the undisputed king of cameos. From Captain America: Civil War and The Defenders to this year’s Avengers: Infinity War, not a Marvel movie – or TV show! – goes by without some cute nod to the all-around industry legend, be it in the form of a well-placed poster or actual appearance. And of course, Ant-Man and the Wasp is no different.

Yes, Peyton Reed’s highly anticipated sequel crawls into theaters this weekend and it comes complete with a Stan Lee cameo. Apparently, it’s another great one, too, as ComicBook.com has caught wind of it and according to them, it occurs later on in the movie during an epic car chase scene.

At one point, we see “an elderly motorist trying to get into his car, which is then hit by a wayward shrinking disc being fired off by Evangeline Lily’s Wasp. When the car shrinks from sight, it’s revealed that the motorist is in fact Stan Lee, and he drops a particularly funny line to the effect of ‘The ’60s were great, but now I’m paying for it.'”

So, not terribly significant then – and most of Lee’s cameos aren’t – but it sounds like another memorable and humorous appearance from the comic book legend and one that’s sure to put a smile on the faces of those who catch Ant-Man and the Wasp when it crawls into theaters tomorrow, July 6th.
