Stephen Amell, who plays Arrow‘s titular vigilante, will soon be trading in his bow and quiver for a hockey stick and golf bag, as he’s just been cast as Casey Jones in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.

According to Variety, Amell auditioned for the role over the weekend and was in contention with half a dozen other actors. It was his chemistry with Megan Fox – who plays reporter April O’Neil – that landed him the job.

Amell’s vigilante experience gained from three seasons of Arrow will make him a fine Casey Jones, especially considering the wide array of stunts he’s already grown accustomed to. Now we’ll just have to wait and see if any salmon ladders are erected in the sewers once he starts fighting crime with the Turtles.

The heroes in a half shell will return to the big screen when Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 arrives on June 3rd, 2016. David Green is stepping behind the director’s chair this time around, with Michael Bay once again serving as producer.
