‘SugarBear’ Rob Delaney set to return for ‘Deadpool 3’

The legend returns!

If there’s one department that the Marvel Cinematic Universe‘s Multiverse Saga is succeeding in, it’s roping in some of the most exciting superhero teams to ever rock the comic book world. We already had the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy, but with the Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts, and the ever-important Tracksuit Mafia finding their feet in the franchise, the Multiverse Saga is shaping up to be the age of team-ups.

But no such squad can match the untouchable swagger of the X-Force, Deadpool’s crack team of recruits that were mostly wiped out during the events of Deadpool 2, and the Merc with the Mouth seems to have every intention of bringing what’s left of his pack of antiheroes to the MCU with him. And, of course, he wouldn’t make the jump without the most rousing piece of that puzzle.

Indeed, Peter, the happy-go-luckiest and most underqualified member of the X-Force, is confirmed to return for Deadpool 3, with Rob Delaney (Hobbs & Shaw, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One) filling the shoes of the mustachioed morale-booster once again. It just goes to show that Ryan Reynolds remains the king of cheeky teasers – much to the ire of Disney, we’re sure.

Per Deadline, Delaney will join fellow Deadpool regulars Reynolds, Stefan Kapičić, Leslie Uggams, Morena Baccarin, and Karan Soni in the sequel, where fans are widely expecting Deadpool’s sudden appearance in the MCU to cause an incursion that “destroys” the Fox universe of Marvel films. Should this theory turn out to be true, we can think of no Marvel hero more fitting of such a responsibility.

Deadpool 3 will release to theaters on Nov. 8, 2024.
