Suicide Squad Character Promo Spotlights Will Smith’s Deadshot

Over the weekend, what many sites believed to be a final trailer for David Ayer's Suicide Squad was released which focused on Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) - but from the looks of things, that was just the first of a new batch of character promos that may or may not lead to an actual final trailer ahead of the film's release in just over 2 weeks.

Over the weekend, what many sites believed to be a final trailer for David Ayer’s Suicide Squad was released which focused on Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) – but from the looks of things, that was just the first of a new batch of character promos that may or may not lead to an actual final trailer ahead of the film’s release in just over 2 weeks.

Next up, it appears to be Will Smith’s turn to shine as expert marksman and ruthless contract killer Floyd Lawton, AKA Deadshot. As you can see from the extended promo above, Mr. Lawton has a little problem with authority (not that you can really blame him given his treatment at the hands of the guards in Belle Reve Penitentiary), and this brings him into constant conflict with one Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), who will lead Task Force X on their top secret mission to take down “The Adversary.”

Also starring Jared Leto as the Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo and Adam Beach as Slipknot, Suicide Squad hits theatres on August 5, 2016.
