Now that X-Men: Apocalypse has reached the big screen, 2016’s next big superhero movie (well, supervillain movie) is DC Comics adaptation Suicide Squad. With less than two months to go before it’s released, the marketing campaign has kicked off in style this past week, and following the release of that cool TV spot, a new batch of promo images have surfaced.

Along with the promo images, it was also revealed today that Warner Bros. will be pushing Suicide Squad hard at Comic-Con next month, with the cast scheduled to appear along with a recreation of Belle Reve, the prison which holds the members of Task Force X in the movie. They’ll also be bringing that Harley Quinn themed tattoo parlour and a virtual reality experience placing participants in a key action sequence.

There’s also a lot of speculation that Warner Bros. could hold a premiere at the event, too, a smart move which could build positive buzz assuming Suicide Squad is less divisive than Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice ended up being. Expect more details on the studio’s Comic-Con plans to be revealed over the next few weeks, but for the time being, you can feast your eyes on the photos above.

Starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Viola Davis, Ben Affleck and a number of others, Suicide Squad is set to be released on August 5th.
