Finally, we’re out of January and as we head into February, we can expect to see the quality of theatrical releases improve quite a bit, starting with The LEGO Movie. Boasting an all-star voice cast that features the likes of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Morgan Freeman and Will Ferrell, the film is already being hailed as an early contender for Best Animated Feature of the year.

This past weekend, Warner Bros. held the world premiere for The LEGO Movie in Los Angeles at The Regency Village Theater and we were on hand to cover the event. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to catch up with too many of the cast members, as only Elizabeth Banks spared a few minutes to talk with us. We tried for talent like Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell and Cobie Smulders, but unfortunately, they just didn’t have the time to speak with each and every outlet that was on the carpet.

Thankfully, we did get chat with with some of the producers and the film’s animation director, all of whom had some interesting tidbits to share. Plus, we also got to ask LEGO Emmet what he would call the perfect website. You’re going to be shocked to hear his answer.

Check it all out in the video below and be sure to catch The LEGO Movie when it hits theatres this Friday!
