New Set Video From The Terminator Reboot Teases A Chase Scene

Just as we try to stop getting our hopes up for reboots and sequels such as The Predator and Halloween, we're now getting all worked up yet again with The Terminator.

When will we ever learn? Just as we try to stop getting our hopes up for reboots and sequels such as The Predator and Halloween, as soon as those set photos and videos drop, we’re getting all worked up yet again. And it’s no different with The Terminator.

A new clip hit the web this week and it shows us a chase scene through the streets of Catral, Spain. Featuring a (bold choice) pink and white taxi, a police car, a camera rig and a golf cart (not involved in the chase), we see very little of the action before the camera gets shut down by the crew, but who doesn’t love the sound of screeching tires?

Not only that, but we also get an on-set glimpse of Mackenzie Davies looking a lot more low-key than she did as undercover rebel Mariette in Blade Runner 2049, but also much healthier than she did when we got our first look at her character the other month.

Said to be the face of the rebooted franchise, Davis will step into the shoes of Dani Ramos (Sarah Connor 2.0?), a “young woman in her early 20s from Mexico City.” It’s a protagonist who’s also been described as a “strong, independent” person who always manages to find a ray of light even in the darkest of circumstances. And if that doesn’t sound like a compelling lead, we don’t know what does.

The Terminator officially boots online November 22nd, 2019 – six months later than initially expected – and currently shares its release corridor with the sequels to Wonder Woman and Disney’s Frozen. So expect a three-way box office grudge match to commence late next year. Who’ll emerge victorious remains to be seen, but feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments section down below.
