To go along with the first Avengers: Endgame tickets going on sale, Marvel has also given us a “Special Look” video, which features a ton of fresh footage from the upcoming MCU flick. And among the various insights offered by the 1-minute preview is our first proper look at Thanos in all his glory.
As recent promo art and merchandise has shown us, the Mad Titan will be donning a full suit of armor for his next big screen appearance and is looking more than ready to take on the heroes for round two. But it’s not only the armor that he’ll have, as Thanos will also wield a new weapon the next time we see him and though it doesn’t feature prominently in the latest trailer, it is there.
Seen in the gallery down below, we’ve got a blurry but still viewable screenshot of the much-discussed double-edged sword that the villain will have in his hand when he faces the Avengers next. It appears towards the end of the preview, when we see the big three – Iron Man, Cap and Thor – on what looks like Titan as they prepare to take on Thanos. And though it’s definitely a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, it does make an appearance.
Of course, what’s still unclear is when exactly in the film this scene takes place, along with where the Mad Titan gets his new weapon in the first place. It certainly looks pretty deadly though and we can only imagine the harm that Thanos will be dishing out with it. Let’s just hope he doesn’t claim the lives of anymore of our heroes.
