Given the sheer amount of companies competing for mindshare during the annual Super Bowl event, it’s no wonder that film studios pursue the road less travelled in an effort to make a lasting impression on the audience at home and land the proverbial touchdown. It’s a tactic we’ve seen across the vast number of trailers that hit the Internet last night, including Elizabeth Banks’ musical sequel Pitch Perfect 2.
In the clip above, we see The Barden Bellas square off against The Green Bay Packers, who just so happen to be one of the four NFL teams to make it to the finals in this year’s tournament. Aside from that, there isn’t much in terms of actual new footage; even still, it’s a joyous reminder that the girls will be having us singing along to their melodies in only a few months time.
In tandem with the Super Bowl spot, director Elizabeth Banks also revealed a brief behind-the-scenes look at the Green Bay Packers arriving for Pitch Perfect 2, which you can check out below:

The Barden Bellas are back in Pitch Perfect 2, the follow-up to 2012’s smash hit. The comedy is helmed by Elizabeth Banks, co-star and producer of Pitch Perfect, and produced by Paul Brooks, Max Handelman and Banks. Writer Kay Cannon returns to the team to pen the next chapter.
