During an interview with Cinemablend.com, Muschietti claimed that the former DC director would enjoy his movie since it “honored” the characters that he’s created. He also has his fingers crossed that Snyder would consider watching his movie despite him no longer being involved with DC Studios.

“I would love Zack to watch this movie. I think we honored the part of the movie that he created in terms of characters and characterizations. And cast. So, I think he would enjoy it.”

It shouldn’t be hard to imagine seeing Snyder attend a screening for the upcoming superhero flick, especially since he’s continuously shown love for these DC characters post-Zack Snyder’s Justice League release. In fact, DC’s co-chief James Gunn reported that Snyder contacted him, showing his support for his upcoming DCU reboot.

So far, Snyder hasn’t made any comments about the upcoming Flash movie, nor did he make any comments about any other DC film post-Justice League. But based on what Muschietti has commented, it’s probably his way of appeasing those who are upset that the Snyderverse is ending, especially since Gunn has proclaimed that The Flash will be the catalyst for “Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters.

So far, people have praised The Flash during its various advanced screenings and claimed that it’s “the best superhero film” ever made. Despite Miller’s lists of controversies, Muschietti was never worries about the film getting boycotted.

The Flash will dash its way into theaters on June 16, 2023.
