BTS Pic From The Terminator Reboot Offers A Look At Linda Hamilton As Sarah Connor

Catch a glimpse of the returning Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor) in this behind-the-scenes pic from The Terminator, Tim Miller's soft reboot that's due to hit theaters late next year.

Similar to Bill Paxton (Private Hudson in Aliens) or Arnold Schwarzenegger (T-800), Linda Hamilton became an ’80s movie star after one gig.

In her case, it was T2: Judgment Day, which has since earned its status as one of the most accomplished sequels of all time. So it’s small wonder why there’s a palpable excitement ahead of Hamilton’s role in The Terminator, Skydance and Tim Miller’s long-in-the-making reboot that’s poised to kick Genisys and its convoluted timeline to the curb in favor of a fresh start.

Granted, it hasn’t exactly got off to the best of starts, having been hit with a six-month delay, but the fact that Linda Hamilton is on board – ditto for Arnie – means there’s a certain air of expectation lingering over it. And fansite The Terminator Fans has today shared a behind the scenes pic offering a sneak peek at Hamilton’s Sarah Connor, who looks set to stand up against Skynet once more.

The report indicates that Hamilton has been hitting the gym in anticipation of The Terminator, though it’s unclear as yet whether the actress will sport short, blond hair for the 2019 reboot, or some form of a wig.

Alas, Skydance is playing its cards close to the vest when it comes to story details. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that The Terminator has been blanketed by radio silence: word is Mackenzie Davis has been cast as Dani Ramos (Sarah Connor 2.0?), a “young woman in her early 20s from Mexico City.” It’s a character who’s also been described as a “strong, independent” person who always manages to find a ray of light even in the darkest of circumstances. And if that doesn’t sound like a compelling lead, we don’t know what does.

Skydance’s sixth installment in the esteemed sci-fi series, which is currently being referred to as The Terminator, is now targeting a release in November of 2019.
