This DC fan art brings Daisy Ridley into the DCU as Catwoman

It's a tough choice but Daisy Ridley is totally worth the risk.

It is speculated that other than Bruce Wayne, one of James Gunn’s DCU projects, The Brave and the Bold, will introduce fans to various new members of the Batfamily, one of them being Bruce’s son, Damien Wayne.

This new entry is believed to take a fresh take on the caped crusader while retaining his fundamental characteristics and the audience will be treated to a new group of actors and iconic characters from the comics. This doesn’t mean that there’s no possibility for fans to see their favorite and most rooted characters in action from the past, however.

Regarded as one of the leading female superheroes of the DCEU, the character has acquired an incredible amount of popularity as well as a swelling fan base. Zoe Kravitz’s phenomenal performance as Selina Kyle in Matt Reeve’s The Batman is still fresh in the minds of millions of fans.

Over the years, fans have also been acquainted with talented and well-known actors gracing the screen as Catwoman. Some of the popular names include Anne Hathaway, whose portrayal of Selina Kyle in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises was critically acclaimed for the complexity that the actress brought to the character.

However, it was Michelle Pfeiffer whose breakthrough role in the 1992 Batman Returns received global applause and was deemed a definitive version of the character. Not to mention, her performance still holds an iconic position.

Saying so, Gunn’s upcoming movie has large shoes to fill and DCEU fans are excited about who will play the role as well as who has the potential to do justice to the character in the upcoming entry. One of the names that has popped up quite recently is Daisy Ridley.

An artist on Instagram designed fan art showing how Daisy Ridley would look like as The Catwoman. Ridley has the quintessential look of the character wearing a tight black outfit and sporting short hair.

The art piece has indeed become popular and also earned fans’ approval to see Ridley cast as the character. Many believe that Ridley, who played Rey in the Star Wars franchise, will be a perfect fit for the role given her praise-worthy performances in the movies.

Even though the details about the new movie remain scarce and it is unknown whether popular characters like The Catwoman will even make an appearance, the new fan art serves as an idea worth considering.
