Thor Avengers Endgame

Thor 4’s Main Villain May Have Been Revealed

The Thor franchise has given us two of the MCU's best villains in the form of his sinister siblings, Loki and Hela (and one of the worst in Malekith, but that's besides the point). When Thor 4 eventually arrives, it'll hopefully provide a new nemesis for the God of Thunder to face who measures up to these previous antagonists. Thankfully, there's still some characters to choose from in the comics and it sounds like Marvel has got their eye on one, in particular.

We Got This Covered has been informed that Amora the Enchantress will likely make her MCU debut in Thor 4. If this happens, she’ll serve as the central villain of the movie. However, it isn’t set in stone that the character will be involved as Marvel is still at the ideas stage at present and a script has yet to be written. Still, our source tells us that the signs are pointing to Amora being the top choice for the main antagonist.

Those who read the comics will know that the Enchantress is one of the Asgardian’s greatest foes on the page, though the pair have also been lovers on occasion. Thor: Ragnarok‘s Hela borrowed certain elements of her character, including her henchman Skurge, and DC have already brought their own villain called Enchantress to the big screen as played by Cara Delevingne in Suicide Squad. But that’ll be a distant memory by the time the God of Thunder’s next solo outing arrives, so it shouldn’t pose a problem.

After all, Thor 4 is rumored to be heading to theaters in 2023. Because of this, the theory’s that Chris Hemsworth will reprise his role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 to keep the character relevant. Tessa Thompson and Taika Waititi are expected to return for the next standalone film though and as for its storyline, our source informs us that it’ll be based on the “Siege” arc from the comics and involve humans attacking New Asgard. That’s all we know for now, but as soon as we learn more, we’ll be sure to update you.
