Everything we’ve seen so far of the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok has looked amazing – from the witty and exciting trailers to the expertly designed one-sheets. Hell, even Hulk’s bed looks cool as hell. Now, you can add another heap of awesome to the pile with this new international trailer for the film.

Though comprised primarily of footage we’ve seen in other promos, it’s still a fun, bite-sized look at the upcoming threequel, one that ushers Team Thor into the spotlight. And not a moment too soon. As you’ll no doubt remember, Chris Hemsworth’s Asgardian was left on the sidelines during Captain America: Civil War – ditto for Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) – during which time Marvel’s marketing campaign was divided between Team Cap and Team Iron Man.

Granted, there’s a good reason for Thor’s absence, as writer-director Taika Waititi has since explained that the God of Thunder has been busy searching for wayward Infinity Stones in his pursuit of Thanos, the Mad Titan. That arc will naturally dovetail with Avengers: Infinity War come 2018, but before Thor regroups with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes – not to mention the Guardians of the Galaxy – a trip to Sakaar is on the cards.

Again, if it’s new scenes you’re after, then you’ll probably be disappointed with what’s on offer here. And, given that Ragnarok is only about a month away, it’s likely that we won’t be getting anymore fresh material before release – which is quite alright with us.

Still, whoever’s putting together the marketing for Thor: Ragnarok definitely deserves some kind of bonus, as they’ve consistently been head and shoulders above most of the other stuff we’ve seen from the MCU in recent times. Let’s just hope that the movie itself will live up to its excellent promotion.

We’ll know for sure in just over a month, as Thor: Ragnarok hits cinemas on November 3rd and, fingers crossed, could be not just the superhero film of the year, but the vehicle with which the hugely talented Waititi elevates himself to the A-list.
