Ever since Iron Man graced cinemas back in 2008, the wiser of us have grown accustomed to staying after the credits of Marvel Studios movies to see teasers for whatever the future may bring. Actually, one could argue that Samuel L. Jackson’s first cameo as Nick Fury started a trend that spread like wildfire throughout the entire industry. Granted, it’s actually nothing new, but the post-credits scene was never as commonplace before as it is today.
Having said that, it’s fully expected that the upcoming blockbuster Thor: Ragnarok follow in the footsteps of its predecessors. In fact, Forbes’ Scott Mendelson says we’re to look forward to seeing two post-credits scenes this time around, something that’s actually not unheard of.
The first is slightly plot-related but the second is a straight joke.

Odds are that someone of his reputation isn’t yanking our chain, so we’re going to give him the benefit of the doubt. And, if you’ll remember, a similar situation happened with 2013’s Thor: The Dark World. In short, the first stinger set up Guardians of the Galaxy, while the second was a bit more humorous in nature.
But when it comes to what the plot-related one will entail, well, that’s anybody’s guess right now. Just recently, we learned that the folks over at Marvel Studios see this movie as being the start of a three-picture arc for the Hulk, so that could be it. Or, it could be laying the foundation for Avengers: Infinity War. Either way, stay glued to your seat once the credits begin to roll.
Thor: Ragnarok arrives in theaters on November 3.
