Step aside, Guardians of the Galaxy, there’s a new Marvel team in town. And they’re about to light up Sakaar.

We are, of course, referring to Loki, Valkyrie, Hulk and the God of Thunder, who can be seen kicking personal differences to the curb and forming an alliance in today’s all-new TV spot for Thor: Ragnarok.

Their target? Hela, Goddess of Death (Cate Blanchett), who descends upon Asgard hoping to claim Odin’s throne as her own. One would assume Hela is harnessing the power of the sixth and final Infinity Stone (Soul) to wreak havoc, thereby teeing up the events of Avengers: Infinity War ahead of its own release in May of next year. But before the Russo Brothers orchestrate the biggest showdown the MCU has ever witnessed – so far, at least – director Taika Waititi will be serving up the latest (and greatest?) solo adventure for Marvel’s God of Thunder.

Nipping at the heels of this morning’s artwork, which offered up-close looks at Sakaar and its colorful characters (Miek!), this newly-unveiled TV spot is all about Thor and his newfound team of allies. It’s hard to gauge which on-screen duo will generate the most excitement among fans, but we imagine comic book readers will go weak at the knees once Thor and Loki begin fighting out of the same corner. The same can also be said for Hulk and the musclebound Norse god, who are forced to lock horns in Sakaar’s gladiatorial arena, at which time Loki and Valkyrie are likely figuring out their differences.

Stripped of Mjolnir and his luscious locks, Thor: Ragnarok looks set to push Marvel’s Norse God close to breaking point, and we can hardly wait to see that arc unfold on the big screen. November 3rd is the date for your diaries.
