Thor Rocks His Eyepatch On New Avengers: Infinity War Poster

x

The hard-wired Marvel marketing machine is beginning to fire on all cylinders. And not a moment too soon.

In light of this morning’s dazzling character posters (see Spider-Man here and Cap here, along with Doctor Strange and Black Panther), the Powers That Be are now on the verge of completing the collection, as below you’ll find a one-sheet dedicated to none other than the God of Thunder.

Yes, Thor takes the spotlight on the latest poster, seen in the gallery below along with those other ones we just mentioned. He’s rocking his eyepatch, too, which he received in the aftermath of Ragnarok – you can thank Hela for that one. It’s long been speculated that by Infinity War‘s end, he’ll be fully restored to his previous self, complete with that missing eye, his trusty cape and, of course, a kickass new weapon, but until then, he’ll definitely be down a few of his usual accessories.

Anyways, without further ado, feast thy eyes on Thor’s new character poster:

Of course, it makes sense to give the God of Thunder the spotlight here, as not all Marvel heroes boast the rich history of Chris Hemsworth’s fan favorite, who’s headlined no less than three standalone movies since his introduction back in 2011. Indeed, thanks to Taika Waititi and his team, the Norse god received a new lease of life (and $854 million at the box office) through Ragnarok, so it’s small wonder why the Russos have big things planned for him in Infinity War and, presumably, its currently untitled sequel.

Speaking of which, Avengers: Infinity War is about to unfold across an epic, near-unprecedented scope, and we’re intrigued to find out whether Joe and Anthony Russo are able to maintain a compelling, well-thought-out story amid all the CG carnage. April 27th is the date for your diaries.
