Horror film legend Tom Savini has nabbed the role of Elvis Brittle in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained. Once again Tarantino has chosen an actor that not many other big name directors would consider or even know of, but from reading the script, this again looks to be perfect casting.

The role, though a supporting one, is still a great part for the actor, who hasn’t really done many serious films. Elvis Brittle is one of the three Brittle brothers who capture Django and his wife, raping her and branding him. M.C. Gainey is currently in talks to play the leader of the Brittle brothers, Big John Brittle.

If you think you know Savini from somewhere, he played Sex Machine in From Dusk Till Dawn. He’s also had a number of other notable supporting roles that audiences will surely recognize him from.

Django Unchained stars Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Dennis Christopher, Laura Cayouette, Gerald McRaney and Tom Savini and is in cinemas on December 25th, 2012.
