Not only did we get an official poster for the highly-anticipated sequel last week, but now it seems we can expect its first trailer sometime this weekend.

According to a movie theater employee who reached out to WGTC, Sony, who’s preparing for a lucrative box office run with the release of Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in…Hollywood, is expected to drop the trailer alongside the new Leonardo DiCaprio film. It could show up as early as the Thursday night pre-screenings, but it’ll definitely hit the web by Monday, if not before. Granted, Sony hasn’t made an official announcement just yet, but this certainly sounds likely.

After all, given that Double Tap‘s slated for an October release, it was really only a matter of time before we got our first look at what Ruben Fleischer’s cooking up. Aside from a couple of first impressions and updates from the cast – including stars Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson – we’ve been left pretty much in the dark on the zombie comedy. Hopefully that won’t be too big of a problem moving forward.

From what we know so far, Zombieland: Double Tap will find the gang living in the White House before they set out on a journey that’ll see them come across a few new zombie types. Along the way, they’ll also wind up meeting a “female zombie-hunting badass named Nevada,” played by Rosario Dawson, while Jesse Eisenberg’s Columbus will apparently get a new love interest named Madison, played by Zoey Deutch.

Look for Zombieland: Double Tap to hit theaters on October 11th. And as for that first trailer, stay tuned to WGTC as we’ll have it for you as soon as it drops.
