Following an extensive period of silence on Sam Taylor-Johnson’s anticipated adaptation, it appears as though the marketing campaign is beginning to fire on all cylinders as we draw ever closer to the film’s release in February (Valentine’s Day, to be specific).

Charting the tale of love and lust between Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey (played here by Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, respectively), Fifty Shades of Grey took the world by storm when it released three years ago, selling a staggering 100 million copies in the process — because who needs coherent prose and good grammar, right?

Still, in the digital age, it’s hard to escape the shadow of E.L. James’ record-breaking trilogy, and should Sam Taylor-Johnson’s upcoming rendition prove to be a success, you can be your bottom dollar that we’ll see the next two chapters in the series — Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed — weave their way to the big screen before long.

Fifty Shades of Grey is due to make its bow on February 13, 2015.

Fifty Shades of Grey is the hotly anticipated film adaptation of the bestselling book that has become a global phenomenon. Since its release, the “Fifty Shades” trilogy has been translated into 51 languages worldwide and sold more than 100 million copies in e-book and print—making it one of the biggest and fastest-selling book series ever. Stepping into the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, who have become iconic to millions of readers, are Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.
