Untitled Robert Zemeckis Thriller Adds Lizzy Caplan Opposite Brad Pitt, Marion Cotillard
Fresh from inducing moviegoers with vertigo in The Walk, director Robert Zemeckis is quietly assembling the cast of his new, yet-to-be-titled feature.
Last summer, we learned that Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard had closed a deal to headline the drama as a lovestruck pair of assassins, and now Deadline is reporting that Masters of Sex star Lizzy Caplan has boarded Zemeckis’ latest in an unknown role.
Attracting the support of Paramount Pictures, GK Films and New Regency, there’s no official word from either party about the plot underpinning the director’s mystery project, nor how Caplan fits into the puzzle. That said, Deadline claims the Now You See Me 2 actress will play the sister of Brad Pitt’s character, but we await official confirmation.
Behind the lens, Robert Zemeckis will be directing from a script produced by Steven Knight (Locke, Peaky Blinders). On the producing end of things, Jack Rapke, Patrick McCormick, Denis O’Sullivan and Knight himself are attached to oversee the project for Paramount, GK and New Regency.
Before rubbing shoulders with Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard for Robert Zemeckis‘ latest, Lizzy Caplan can next be seen in Jon M. Chu’s Now You See Me 2 when it appears out of the blue and into theaters on June 10.
