Comic Book has unearthed what appears to be the new, updated logline for Justice League.

Embedded below, the synopsis points to a string of as-yet-unconfirmed plot points from Zack Snyder’s ensemble movie, including Darkseid, Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds), and the role of the all-powerful Mother Boxes. Those three devices will prove instrumental when Justice League slams into theaters this November, forcing Bats, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg and Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel (?) to set aside old differences and unite in the face of a common enemy.

At least, that’s what today’s update would have you believe. That being said, CB’s info is pulled from a magazine, though it’s difficult to tell which one from the link below. With that in mind, until Warner Bros. releases anything official, treat this rumored synopsis as just that.

In the wake of Clark Kent/Superman’s (Cavill) death at the hands of Doomsday in BvS, vigilante Bruce Wayne/Batman (Affleck) reevaluates his extreme methods and begins reaching out to extraordinary heroes to assemble a team of crime-fighters to defend earth from all kinds of threats. Together with Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gadot), Batman seeks out cybernetically enhanced former college football star Vic Stone/Cyborg (Fisher), speedster Barry Allen/The Flash (Miller) and Atlantean warrior king Arthur Curry/Aquaman (Momoa). They face off against Steppenwolf (Hinds), the herald and second-in-command to alien warlord Darkseid, who is charged by Darkseid with hunting down three artefacts hidden on earth.

Zack Snyder pitting the Justice League against Steppenwolf and DC megavillain Darkseid is an alleged plot that’s done the rounds before, particularly after the former was introduced via the ‘Communion’ Batman V Superman deleted scene featuring Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor bowing before the great nemesis. With that in mind, this new plot summary definitely sounds like it could be authentic.

Justice League opens on November 17th. Long before Zack Snyder rallies DC’s finest heroes, director Patty Jenkins will introduce her Wonder Woman solo movie on June 2nd.
