Director Edgar Wright is getting ready to release the final film in his Cornetto Trilogy to North American audiences. Having already premiered in the UK to rave reviews, The World’s End is arriving on August 23rd with much anticipation, and deservedly so. The third in a series of films that also includes Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, moviegoers have been looking forward to Wright’s conclusion for a while now and those of us on this side of the pond will finally get to see it in just a few short weeks.

For those who are unaware, the film follows a group of friends who discover an alien invasion during an epic pub crawl in their hometown. Like the first two films in the trilogy, The World’s End is hilarious, laugh out loud funny and of course, a ton of fun to watch. In fact, I think it may be my favorite film of the three and I cannot wait to see it again.

Last week, Wright and Nick Frost, who has starred in all three films in the trilogy, were in Toronto doing press for The World’s End. I had the chance to catch up with the duo for a brief interview where we discussed, among other things, how the idea for the trilogy first came abut, why they chose to do sci-fi this time around, what their plans for the future are and more.

Take a look at the video below and let us know in the comments whether or not you’ll be checking out The World’s End when it arrives in theatres on August 23rd.
