Another actor has been added to the cast of Ant-Man and the Wasp today. The sequel to the 2015 MCU movie about the shrinking superhero will see star Paul Rudd reprise his role as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, alongside Evangeline Lily as Hope Van Dyne/The Wasp. Michael Douglas will also return as Hank Pym, as will Micheal Pena, David Dastmalchian and T.I.

Now, Deadline is reporting that Walter Goggins has signed up for the production in an as-yet undisclosed role. Goggins has previously starred in TV shows like The Shield and Sons of Anarchy and movies as diverse as Lincoln and G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Alongside Ant-Man and the Wasp, 2018 will also see the actor feature in Lara Croft reboot Tomb Raider, Maze Runner: The Death Cure and Three Christs, with Richard Gere and Peter Dinklage.

Other new additions for the sequel include Black Mirror actress Hannah John-Kamen, also in a currently unknown role, and Randall Park, who’s playing long-running Marvel comics character Jimmy Woo, a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent.

We don’t know too much about the storyline of Ant-Man and the Wasp just yet, but photos snapped from the set suggest that it involves Scott Lang on the run. After all, he and the rest of Team Cap ended Captain America: Civil War as fugitives from the law. Rumours state that the film might introduce Goliath, a hero from the comics who can grow to enormous size, but that remains unconfirmed.

Thankfully, we’ll be learning a lot more about the blockbuster quite soon, as Marvel’s Comic-Con panel this weekend is sure to thrust Ant-Man and the Wasp into the spotlight before it hits theatres on July 6th, 2018.
