Watch The DC Universe Come To Life In Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Featurette

Warner Bros. promised a boat load of trailers, teases and featurettes to coincide with last night's DC Films Presents: The Dawn of the Justice League - and boy did it deliver. Not only did the full-length trailer for Suicide Squad catapult David Ayer's ensemble piece to the tip-top of our most-anticipated films of 2016, but there was also a fleeting look at Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman film, which looks to be shaping up remarkably well, weaving the origins tale of Gal Gadot's heroine across two distinct timelines.

But let’s not forget the one film that’s due to set it all in motion. Granted, Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel laid the groundwork in many respects for the tone and visual style of the studio’s slate, but it’s really the director’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice that will jump-start the DC Extended Universe in earnest.

Now that we’re little over two months – Two. Months. – until the film’s release, Warner debuted an extensive featurette that shines a light on Snyder’s franchise starter, the creative approach fuelling the superhero showdown glimpsed on screen and even new footage of said showdown. There’s also interviews from leading players such as Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck and Jesse Eisenberg, who very much plays the spanner in the works that is Lex Luthor.

In Eisenberg’s own words, Luthor is essentially the puppet master toying with two comic book titans in Supes and the Caped Crusader. Plus, as the latest trailer for Dawn of Justice revealed, the titular pair will have to set aside old differences to unite with Gal Gadot’s Amazonian Warrior if they really are to foil Luthor’s world-shaking plan.

Expect a barrage of clips and promos to begin rolling out for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice over the coming weeks as Warner Bros. enters crunch mode in anticipation of March 25.
