Earlier today, we revealed that the first official trailer for Avengers: Age Of Ultron would make its debut during a commercial break for Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.  A few hours later, a couple of stills from the trailer cropped up on Twitter. Now, Marvel is really going to have to up their game as a leaked version of the trailer (which you can see above) has made its way online ahead of its scheduled October 28th release.

I don’t want to go into too much detail, but I will say that its dark and foreboding tone is apparent almost immediately. The entire scope for the flick certainly appears to have been expanded, and by the looks of things, the superhero team are not happy about the challenges that they’re about to come up against.

Speaking of challenges, there’s plenty of footage of Ultron here, who delivers a menacing threat to the Avengers as they all appear to be stunned by his tyrannical tirade. While we don’t see his face, there’s no mistaking the dulcet tones of James Spader, who along with newbies Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, gets a good portion of screen time. In fact, all of the cast members are given a fair amount of face time for what’s a most tantalizing teaser.

Avengers: Age Of Ultron opens on May 1st, 2015. Check out the trailer above and plot summary below and let us know what you think of the direction that they’re headed in for this highly-anticipated sequel.

Marvel Studios presents “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to the Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
