Will We Head To Arkham Asylum In Justice League?

As we inch closer and closer to the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League, we're starting to learn a little more about the upcoming blockbuster. Admittedly, we're still very much in the dark as to what we can expect, but Warner Bros. has slowly begun peeling back the layers, revealing a film that looks to turn things around for the DC Extended Universe and hopefully make up for the disaster that was Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

As we inch closer and closer to the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, we’re starting to learn a little more about the upcoming blockbuster. Admittedly, we’re still very much in the dark as to what we can expect, but Warner Bros. has slowly begun peeling back the layers, revealing a film that looks to turn things around for the DC Extended Universe and hopefully make up for the disaster that was Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

We know from a recent casting announcement that Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor will be back to cause more trouble and it seems that when we see him next, he’ll be in Arkham Asylum. This makes plenty of sense, given that a deleted scene from BvS – which showed up on the Ultimate Edition – had Bats telling Luthor he’d be housed there. In case you haven’t caught it yet, we’ve included it below:

How exactly do we know that we’ll be visiting Arkham, though? Well, on the IMDB page for Justice League, Batman-News found roles for characters named “Arkham Guard” and “Lex Luthor’s Guard.” That seems like pretty substantive evidence to us, and given what happened at the end of Dawn of Justice, there’s no reason to doubt it. What we still don’t know is how exactly Lex will factor into the plot, but seeing as he’s behind bars, we can’t imagine he’ll have a very large role to play.

Perhaps the most exciting part of all this is the cameos that may come along with a visit to Arkham. Known for housing numerous Batman villains, Snyder may use the scenes set here as a chance to show off a few familiar faces, or even introduce some new ones. Right now, it’s too early to say how exactly Arkham and Luthor will be used in Justice League, but fans will no doubt be excited to know that they’ll get to visit the iconic prison this November.
