New Photo May Reveal That Bucky Will Cameo In Black Widow

Before this year's San Diego Comic-Con, we already knew a standalone Black Widow movie was in development, but we weren't entirely sure as to what direction it would be taking. That all changed when Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and a handful of actors took to the stage at Hall H though and finally pulled back the curtain on what we could expect from Phase 4 of the MCU.

In a few short days, we heard Taskmaster would be serving as the film’s main villain, and we also got confirmation that the movie will take place after the events of Captain America: Civil War and (presumably) before Avengers: Infinity War. Better yet, Marvel also announced the project’s cast.

We always knew Scarlett Johansson would reprise her role as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, but it’s since been confirmed that David Harbour (of Stranger Things and Hellboy fame) is starring as Red Guardian, a Russian super-soldier who serves as a counterpart to Captain America. Now, we have reason to believe that another familiar face might be joining the cast.

As you can see below, Sebastian Stan – who plays Bucky Barnes aka the Winter Soldier – was spotted out and about in Berlin, Germany. A fan posed for a picture with him, and it looks like the actor’s wearing a Black Widow cap of some kind.

To be fair, this could just be a random hat, but there’s also the chance it was given out to members of the production team who’ve worked on the movie – which has been shooting across parts of Europe. Considering Nat and Bucky ran into each other on an overseas mission back in 2009 as well, there’s a pretty good chance that the former Winter Soldier will be showing up in some capacity.

For the time being, we’ll just have to wait for official confirmation as to whether or not he’ll make an appearance in Black Widow. If he doesn’t though, fans can at least rest easy knowing Sebastian Stan will be featured on the small screen in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, which is set to premiere on Disney Plus next year.
