On the heels of Warner’s historic presser at San Diego Comic-Con 2018, the first footage from Wonder Woman 1984 has leaked online.

It originally emerged via Twitter (h/t CBM), as these things tend to do, and sees Diana Prince using her Lasso of Truth to devastating effect, as she trails two goons across the floor of a cavernous ’80s mall – the same one in which we glimpsed a visibly confused Steve Trevor, perhaps?

Providing you haven’t been living under a rock for the past four weeks, you’ll know Chris Pine’s WWI pilot is officially on board for Wonder Woman 1984, which is seemingly less of a sequel and more of a “new chapter” for Gal Gadot’s Amazonian. Whatever the case, it’s understood Patty Jenkins’ sophomore adventure tees up a grudge match between Diana Prince and Cheetah, a long-time adversary for the Immortal Warrior who is being brought to life by Kristen Wiig.

And while there’s no Cheetah here, unfortunately, there is an admittedly low-res glimpse at the action of WW84, which you can check out below (or at this link, if the Tweet gets deleted).

Given we’re still a full 18 months away from the sequel’s release, there’s a very good chance that this particular scene will be tweaked and/or adjusted before Patty Jenkins is ready to call a wrap on her DC follow-up. Even still, it’s a pretty incredible tease of what’s to come.

Pitched as a whole new chapter for Diana and her allies, Wonder Woman 1984 is expected to grace theaters on November 1st – four short weeks after the arrival of Warner’s Joker origin story from Todd Phillips and lead star Joaquin Phoenix.
