Eminem Is The King Of Hip-Hop

While Jay-Z and Kanye West may be guarding their throne and sitting pretty as the current kings of rap, not everyone seems to be behind them. Rolling Stone has gone ahead and crowned Eminem as the King Of Hip-Hop, with Kanye West and Jay-Z coming in at fourth and fifth, respectively.

The decision was based on a number of things including album sales, YouTube views, concert grosses, awards etc.

Twenty names show up on the list and there are a few surprises. Both Lil Wayne and Drake appearing in front of Kanye and Jay is both surprising and just plain wrong. Furthermore, why is Ludacris ahead of Lupe Fiasco and Kid Cudi? And Gucci Mane over B.O.B., can’t say I agree.

Granted, Cudi and B.O.B. are both younger rappers and Lupe has never achieved the same commercial success as some of the game’s other big players, so that may account for their positions on this list. Still, I don’t back this list, not at all. Jay-Z is the king of hip-hop, enough said. Eminem’s great and all but by no means is he better or bigger than Jay.
