Tiësto And Ummet Ozcan Team Up On “What You’re Waiting For”

If you made a Venn diagram using Tiësto and Ummet Ozcan's stylistic spheres, there would only be a tiny sliver where they overlap. Ozcan's production style on its own seems a little too eccentric for the two-time DJ Mag #1 superstar, so their recent collaboration, "What You're Waiting For," seems a bit awkwardly arranged.

After all, “What You’re Waiting For” isn’t punchy enough to be classified as big room house. The bouncy synths and subtle vocal samples hint at future house more than anything, but the whole of the production exists in a strange grey area that keeps it from being all that memorable.

Nonetheless, Tiësto and Ummet Ozcan’s “What You’re Waiting For” will officially come out through Musical Freedom Records on May 9th. In the meantime, listen to the preview of the track in the SoundCloud player above and tell us what you think down in the comments section below.
