Deadpool
As we’re now entering the realms of wish-fulfillment and imagining the walls between the studios breaking down, let’s talk about one cross-franchise crossover we really would love to see but will likely never happen (at least not any time soon): Spider-Man meets Deadpool!
Despite their extreme difference in methods, the wallcrawler and the Merc with the Mouth have always enjoyed a staunch friendship in the comics. On the surface, the pair have a lot in common. Both Peter and Wade are fast-talking, funny guys with a love of red spandex. Just look at how Ryan Reynolds likes to rib Tom Holland on Twitter for a flavour of the characters’ dynamic.
In all likelihood, the best we could hope for here is maybe Holland popping up for a cameo in a future Deadpool movie. He probably wouldn’t be able to play Spidey due to rights complications, but we’re sure the anti-hero would still crack wise about meeting Spider-Man.
