A surprising twist may be unfolding in the Idaho 4 Bryan Kohberger murder case after body cam footage surfaced of a woman claiming to be a key witness.
During a 2024 DUI arrest, the woman tells an officer that she has to testify in the “murder case of those college girls in Moscow” because she was the DoorDash driver that night and claims she saw Kohberger at the scene.
Bombshell eyewitness testimony?
The footage shows her speaking matter-of-factly to the investigating officer, raising eyebrows among those following the trial. Though her identity has not been officially confirmed by law enforcement or prosecutors, the implications of her statements are significant.
In the footage, she asserts that she delivered food to the King Road residence where the four students died around the same time one victim, Xana Kernodle, reportedly placed her order.
Her claim that she parked near Kohberger’s car adds even more weight to the possibility that she saw the suspect just moments before the killings occurred.
One Reddit user noted, “Since her initials are MM,” referring to the DUI suspect in the video, ” I believe her since those are the [DoorDash initials],” in the Idaho 4 official affidavit. Another added, “And it’s been rumored for a minute that the [DoorDash driver’s] name was Molly. So it pans out.” However, both statements are so far unconfirmed speculation.
The DoorDash delivery and the Idaho 4 murders
In the existing timeline of the Idaho 4 murders, Kernodle’s DoorDash order was reportedly completed around 4 a.m. on November 13, 2022, the same night that Kernodle, her boyfriend Ethan Chapin, and roommates Kaylee Goncalves and Madison Mogen were killed.
Authorities had previously stated that the driver briefly interacted with Kernodle but had not made any mention of seeing anyone else. If this woman were indeed the driver and she did spot Kohberger outside the residence, her testimony would provide the first direct eyewitness account placing him at the scene.
An eyewitness could change everything
Until now, the case against Kohberger has leaned heavily on circumstantial evidence. Prosecutors have cited surveillance footage of a white Hyundai Elantra like Kohberger’s near the home that night, cellphone data tracing Kohberger’s movements, and a single DNA match found on a knife sheath at the crime scene.
While compelling to some, defense attorneys have challenged the DNA findings and the method by which they were obtained, including the use of investigative genetic genealogy.
An eyewitness account would dramatically change the case. Instead of relying on forensics and digital tracking alone, the prosecution could add a human element—someone who says she physically saw the suspect near the house just before the murders.
But the woman’s credibility is already being questioned. Despite claiming to be sober during her DUI stop, viewers of the footage remain divided over whether she appeared impaired. Others point out that she seemed calm, coherent, and very specific in her recollections.
However, her demeanor and history, including reports that she had previously witnessed her husband’s murder in the same town, could be scrutinized intensely by the defense.

It’s still not confirmed that this woman is the same DoorDash driver who delivered food to Kernodle. Prosecutors have yet to issue a statement, and there is no court filing listing her as a witness at the time of writing.
But if she is, and if her account can be substantiated, it could break the case wide open. With the defense pushing hard to challenge the reliability of the physical evidence, a credible eyewitness who places Kohberger at the scene could be the prosecution’s most powerful weapon yet.
Until law enforcement confirms her role, speculation will continue. But the idea that the alleged Idaho 4 DoorDash driver has now spoken—and potentially seen everything—could reshape this already chilling case. Kohberger’s trial is expected to begin in August.
