In what might be the best news of all time, cult classic Arrested Development will return to television for another season, followed by the heavily rumored feature film.

According to The New York Times, the cast held a reunion today at the New Yorker Festival, where creator Mitchell Hurwitz announced the news.

Hurwitz hopes to do a ten episode series, with each episode focusing on a character from the show. All ten original members of the Bluth family (which includes Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Michael Cera) are signed on.

Script ideas are already strong. Hurwitz said he may already have Buster’s (Tony Hale) episode planned, and it sounds hysterical.

“The latest joke we have, is that it’s Cambridge, Mass., and there’s all these scientists in lab coats and they’re waiting for somebody. Buster comes through the door in a white lab coat – ‘Let’s begin’ – and they say, ‘Oh, no, you don’t get to wear the lab coat. We’re experimenting on you.'”

The series is tentatively scheduled to run in Fall 2012, with the film following in early 2013.
