Arrested Development fans have been waiting for a feature-length adaptation of the cult classic show for years. It’s been in the works and rumors have been flying across Internet boards left and right. There’s still a good chance that the movie will soon start production, but the skepticism from fans is probably just as high as their anticipation.

An unknown source has now told Screen Rant that he knows the plot of the upcoming film. Rumor has it that the actual plot will be revealed in the next few weeks. So, as of now, it is uncertain if this source is telling the truth. But, as a hardcore Arrested Development fan, I’m excited about the rumor, but still waiting for more official details.

The source makes it sound like the movie will pick up where the series finale left off. Here is the rumored synopsis:

“Ron Howard is making a movie about the Bluths using an A-List cast. But Dr. Tobias plays himself because nobody wants to play him in the movie. The Bluths decide to make their own movie in contention with Ron Howard’s.”

It sounds promising, and it could probably work but at this point, it’s still just a rumor. Nothing has been confirmed.

What do you think? Does this sound like the Arrested Development movie you’ve been waiting for? Share your thoughts in the comments section.
