At 13, she went to McDonald’s with a friend, then the alleged trip to took a terrifying turn she never expected

A quick run to McDonald's turned scary.

A late night trip to McDonald’s with a friend turned into a frightening experience for a Toronto girl who was just 13 years old. Years later, a TikTok creator, Florreinavu (@florreinavu), has shared in her video how a man who claimed to be an off-duty taxi driver allegedly offered her and her 15-year-old friend a ride home, only to take them somewhere they never agreed to go.

She claimed that the McDonald’s was only a short distance from her home, from where the girls began walking toward a nearby bus stop. They noticed two men standing across the street near a banquet hall, but initially paid little attention to them.

The girls waited for a bus, but it never arrived, and their phones were running low on battery. That’s when the two men they had noticed earlier allegedly pulled up and asked whether they needed help. One of them introduced himself as a taxi driver who was off duty and reportedly offered reassurance that the girls could trust him. Believing they were getting a harmless ride home, as it could beat taking a subway alone, the girls got into the car.

The driver allegedly wanted to marry her

According to Florreinavu, they were just one traffic light away from her home when she asked the driver to stop near the bus stop. Instead, he allegedly continued driving. She tapped her friend when they reached the next traffic light and suggested that they jump out. However, when they tried to open the doors, they discovered that the child locks were on.

Part 1 | I’m aware that for most this will be entertainment, which is fine. I just want you to still understand this was real and traumatizing. The goal is to spread awareness. Yes, I was young but age does not stop situations like this from happening. Nor does your gender, I’m just sharing from a women’s pov. Well truly the lil girl that I was, who let her guard down. If you have ever been through anything like this or know someone that has.. I’m so sorry. It’s not something to ever joke about. I pray although my delivery was light, due to how I’ve healed and processed this all that you know I don’t take this lightly.

The girls begged the driver to let them out, but he allegedly continued reassuring them as he drove to an unfamiliar building. Once they arrived at his apartment, the situation became even more alarming. Florreinavu said she told her friend to play along while they figured out how to escape, but  the men allegedly said, “That’s not happening.”

“Fast forward, he starts telling me how he has a daughter my age, and he knows he can’t marry me here, but he wants to marry me in Nigeria,” she alleged. Florreinavu noticed that her friend had suspectedly been taken toward the kitchen by the other man. When the driver went into the bathroom and his companion entered a bedroom, the girls ran for the door and escaped.

Florreinavu said the men allegedly chased them in a car as they ran through the area. After around 10 minutes, the girls reached a nearby 7-Eleven, where they spotted two police officers, but did not approach them. They waited for the bus and when it arrived, the girls finally made it home safely.
