Cabela’s Big Game Hunter: Hunting Party’s exhilarating gameplay hits the “bulls-eye” providing fun entertainment! You are the controller as you move through the environment by jumping, dodging and weaving around branches, rocks and charging animals, all while shooting your way through each level with the Top Shot Sport. The innovative Top Shot Sport, included with the game, brings a whole new layer of interaction to Kinect when it ships on November 1, 2011.

The arcade-style hunting game is composed of a series of shooting galleries where YOU are the controller. The game tracks total body movement as players duck, jump and weave between obstacles, grabbing power-ups and avoiding the creatures of the wild along the way. While exploring a range of environments from Texas, British Columbia, Sonora Mexico and Tanzania, the highly immersive gameplay will place intrepid hunters right into the exhilarating action as they shoot, dodge and battle their way to an endless amount of fun.

To take complete advantage of the unique experience on the Kinect for Xbox 360, Cabela’s has packaged the game with the Top Shot Sport. This first-of-its-kind technology adds a brand new dimension to the game. For the first time in any hunting game, players will have an opportunity to use their whole body and the Top Shot Sport like they would in real life. The Top Shot Sport includes features like pump action reload, an adjustable stock and pop-up tactical sight.

“The Kinect has given us the opportunity to push the boundaries of how gamers approach and play the Cabela’s titles,” said Patrick Kelly, Senior Vice President of Studios for Activision Publishing. “By combining our innovative new Top Shot Sport peripheral with Kinect, we’ve created an immersive hunting experience unlike any other in the marketplace.”

Cabela’s Big Game Hunter: Hunting Party will be available November 1, 2011 on Kinect for Xbox 360. The game will be bundled with the innovative Top Shot Sport peripheral. The game is rated T for Teen by the ESRB. For more information, please follow on Twitter and Facebook – @ActivisionHunts and Facebook.com/ActivisionHunts.

It certainly sounds pretty fun. Like a home version of those hunting arcade games you’d find in bars, except with a lot more interaction. Though I’m personally not a hunter, I don’t mind the video games. There’s no real harm done playing those. Right?
